The mission of the Montrose Area Merchants Association is to promote the Montrose trade area with the goal of increasing sales revenues through promotional activities, education, advertising, and by serving as a resource to stimulate a thriving business community and enhance the retail environment.

MAMA participated in the economic development restructuring process with the City of Montrose, Montrose Chamber of Commerce, Montrose Economic Development Corporation, and Visitors & Convention Bureau, as recommended in the final assessment by NCDS (view their report). The Chamber has been restructured as the Montrose Association of Commerce and Tourism (Montrose ACT). The Agreement between the City of Montrose and Montrose ACT was approved by City Council on February 18, 2010. GOOD NEWS! MAMA Bucks and retail enhancement programs and services have been transferred from Montrose Area Merchants Association (MAMA) to the Montrose Association of Commerce and Tourism (Montrose ACT). You may now contact Montrose ACT at 249-5000 regarding continuation of retail enhancement programs and services formerly provided by MAMA. NOTICE - MAMA Bucks are still good through their printed expiration date, and the MAMA Buck bank account remains open to process outstanding MAMA Bucks through December 31, 2010.
- The MAMA Buck redemption process remains the same for consumers and businesses alike.
